Catherine Pourdavoud, M.D., FAAP

Dr. Catherine Pourdavoud is a board-certified pediatrician who is passionate about caring for children and families with compassion, curiosity, and heart. She considers it an absolute joy and privilege to be a pediatrician. One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is watching children grow and thrive from infancy through adulthood.

Her approach combines evidence-based medicine with a deep commitment to personalized, thoughtful care. From a baby's first days of life to a patient's teenage years, she emphasizes preventive care and strives to help children build healthy habits early on. Dr. Pourdavoud believes medicine is about more than diagnoses. It is about building meaningful connections, earning trust, and supporting families through every stage of a child's development.

Whether she is answering questions about newborn feeding, navigating school-age challenges, or supporting teens as they gain confidence and independence, Dr. Pourdavoud partners closely with parents and caregivers every step of the way. She is dedicated to ensuring that both patients and their families feel heard, supported, and genuinely cared for.

Dr. Pourdavoud strives to create an experience that is not only reassuring for parents but also warm, welcoming, and fun for children. In her exam room, laughter and stickers go hand-in-hand with stethoscopes and otoscopes. She enjoys using playful tools, such as her dinosaur reflex hammer and light-up frog, along with imagination and a gentle approach, to help turn nervous moments into smiles, giggles, and proud high-fives. Her goal is to help children feel safe, valued, and empowered to take an active role in their health.

Her special clinical interests include newborn care, breastfeeding support, pediatric nutrition, and early literacy. She is also a Certified Lactation Educator (CLE).

Dr. Pourdavoud looks forward to meeting families and partnering with them to support their child's health and well-being.

Dr. Pourdavoud loves spending time with her husband and goldendoodle. She enjoys cooking, baking, trying new restaurants, and gratitude journaling. To maintain a healthy lifestyle, she also loves pilates, barre, and Zumba exercise classes.
