Deepti Nahar, M.D.

Dr. Nahar believes every patient deserves a treatment plan grounded in the best available evidence — and delivered with genuine care for who they are, not just their diagnosis. She practices full-scope obstetrics and gynecology, which means caring for patients across every stage of their lives: routine gynecologic visits and problems, pregnancy and high-risk pregnancy management, labor and delivery, and cesarean sections. She specializes in fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, and endometriosis.

As a fellowship-trained specialist in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, she is committed to offering the least invasive, most effective option for each individual, whether that means a robotic-assisted, laparoscopic, or vaginal approach — and to staying current with advances in the field so she can bring the most up-to-date technology and techniques to every patient. But medicine is rarely just about the procedure: she takes time to listen, explain options clearly, and make sure her patients feel like informed partners in their own care, not passengers in it. Whether she is delivering a baby, performing a complex surgical case, or guiding someone through the menopause transition, her goal is the same — to combine clinical excellence with the kind of attentiveness and respect every patient deserves.

Dr. Nahar is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), and the AAGL — organizations dedicated to advancing women's health through education, research, and clinical excellence. At Sutter East Bay Medical Group, she is involved in mentoring and teaching other physicians, as well as recruitment and onboarding for incoming physicians — work that lets her help shape both the next generation of clinicians and the culture they're joining.

Outside of the clinic and operating room, Dr. Nahar prioritizes strength training and staying active. She is a mom to two boys, and family time is some of her favorite time — especially when it involves warm weather and sunshine. She also loves good food, whether she's trying a new restaurant or cooking something new at home.
