Deryk G. Jones, M.D.

Dr. Jones strongly believes in fully discussing a patient's history of musculoskeletal injury followed by a full examination of the patient. Direct evaluation of and, if needed, ordering of all appropriate studies to formulate an action plan is his standard of care. He explores all factors and then provides recommendations based on up-to-date guidelines in an effort to meet the patient's goals and desires. He uses surgical treatment as a last but sometimes necessary step in treating the patient. His numerous publications highlight his philosophy of employing all available biologic and preservation options to maintain the highest level of activity for the patient.

Dr. Jones serves as Chair for the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Service Line for Sutter Health. This role is focused on developing Advanced Complex Care Centers throughout Sutter that will provide state-of-the-art care in sports medicine, spinal intervention, limb preservation, joint arthroplasty, and all other aspects of orthopedics.

Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with family, practicing the Bahá'í Faith, and playing golf.
