Douglas Souvignier, M.D., FACP

Dr. Souvignier has been a primary care internal medicine physician with the Sutter Palo Alto Medical Foundation since 1996. Prior to joining Los Gatos Concierge Medicine in 2024, he practiced at the Mountain View Center. Over the years, he has held multiple leadership roles within the medical group and currently serves as one of the Medical Directors of Philanthropy, where he has the privilege of working closely with grateful patients and the Sutter Philanthropy team.

Transitioning from traditional primary care to concierge medicine has given him the opportunity to spend more time with each of his patients, understanding their unique health needs and helping them achieve their individual wellness goals.

He also holds additional certification in Lifestyle Medicine, a specialty that emphasizes the vital roles of diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, and social engagement in promoting health.

Dr. Souvignier has been married for more than 40 years to his college sweetheart and has three adult children. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, playing pickleball, and spending quality time with family and friends.

I completed certification through the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine in 2019. I am interested in healthy diets, specifically a whole foods, plant-based diet. I believe that a healthy lifestyle is foundational to good health, including diet, exercise, sleep, stress reduction, and community engagement.
