Lynette W. Lissin, M.D.

My practice includes a spectrum of acute and chronic cardiac conditions in a wide variety of patients, located in a dynamic, comprehensive, supportive multi-specialty practice. I enjoy discussing the cardiovascular system with patients and how it works in health and in disease states. The opportunities to initiate early prevention, use state-of-the-art treatments, and give plenty of attention to healthy lifestyle choices, offer many chances for me to help keep patients healthy and active. I believe in providing a lot of information and appropriate choices to patients, providing ongoing updates to current understanding and treatment of heart conditions and helping patients put all the information they've gathered from a variety of sources into perspective. I appreciate the opportunity to help patients manage their most precious resource — their health.

Member of American College of Cardiology, Adult Congenital Heart Association and American Board of Internal Medicine - consultant. 2001 — Outstanding Clinical Fellow, Stanford Cardiovascular Division. 2000 — American Heart Association/Wyeth Ayerst Women in Cardiology Travel Grant. 1999-2000 — American College of Cardiology/Merck Fellowship Award. During my medical education and training, I considered many medical career path options, and reached the ideal balance as a clinical cardiologist at the Palo Alto Center.

Outside of Medicine, Dr. Lissin is married and has three children. She enjoys enjoy running, playing tennis, reading, cooking and traveling. 1999 — Helena Anna Henzl-Gabor Young Women in Science Travel Grant.
