Shawna Riddle, M.D.

Dr. Riddle views her primary role as serving as a consultant to patients in their own health. She brings diagnostic and treatment expertise and provides patients with the latest information to help them achieve their personal best long-term quality of life.

Dr. Riddle pursued dual training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics because she enjoys caring for patients of all ages, from common conditions to complex diagnoses. Although she initially anticipated focusing primarily on geriatric care, she found her pediatric rotation in medical school so rewarding that she chose to combine both fields. This path allows her to care for individuals throughout their entire lifespan.

Regarding her background, Dr. Riddle grew up on a 13-acre farm in rural Northern California with her grandfather, parents, and two younger brothers. She spent much of her childhood riding her horse and swimming in the creek. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a double major in Biology and British Literature. Before beginning medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, she worked for two years in Davis, California, as an office manager. She continued her training at the University of California San Diego in the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics program. She has been part of PAMF since November 2010. Outside of work, she and her daughter (born in 2012) enjoy scouting and traveling together.

Dr. Riddle enjoys spending time gardening, water coloring, reading, spending time with friends and family and traveling.
