About Me

Philosophy of Care

I love to partner with parents and caregivers through each stage of the parenting journey. My goal is to work collaboratively with families from diverse backgrounds to provide comprehensive care that takes into account their values, circumstances and health goals. I hope to empower parents to help their children thrive. I am certified in travel health and love to provide individualized and up to date pre-travel consultations for pediatric travelers. I have a young son with type 1 diabetes and hope to be a resource for families and patients with type 1 diabetes in the primary care setting.

Community Activities

Melanie is a trustee for an international non-profit organization providing essential health care services, capacity building and targeted community programs in Africa.

Personal Interests

I love travel, hiking and spending time with my husband and 2 young sons.
