Life does not always go according to plan. Your employer understands that and has chosen to provide services for you through the Sutter Employee Assistance Program. Our program allows you to reach out for support from licensed professionals trained to help you find solutions for work-related problems, mental health issues, marriage problems and much more.
When you contact Sutter EAP by phone at (800) 477-2258, which is open 24/7, you can expect the following to take place:
- Your call will be answered by a licensed clinician.
- The licensed clinician will ask you some questions to connect you with the best resource(s) for your needs, whether that be a mental health therapist, financial counselor, attorney, etc.
- A licensed clinician will locate a matching available resource within 24-48 business hours and provide you with the details.
If an intake counselor is not immediately available when you call, you may hold until one is able to speak with you. You may also leave a confidential voicemail message asking for a return call. You also have the option of speaking with another EAP staff member who can take your information.
If you call before 8:00 am or after 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, or on a weekend or holiday, your call will be answered by an after-hours answering service. Licensed intake counselors with this answering service will obtain the necessary information from you to access your benefit options. Our intake counselors will respond to your call the next business day.
