Recognition in the Best Hospitals rankings contributes to Sutter’s credibility and can ultimately impact future patient volume as healthcare consumers look to U.S. News & World Report for trusted institutions. A December 2023 survey found that 94% of consumers are more likely to choose a hospital recognized by U.S. News & World Report over one that isn’t.
Eligible physicians can vote for up to five hospitals, making this an opportunity to highlight the breadth and excellence of care happening here at Sutter. By taking part in this survey, you lend credibility to hospitals you believe deserve this recognition. Each vote contributes 12-15% of the total score in 11 of the 15 specialties evaluated, and even more in these: 30% in rehabilitation, and 100% in ophthalmology, psychiatry and rheumatology.
Follow these steps to cast your votes for the 2026 U.S. News and World Report Best Hospitals rankings (see below for Sutter hospitals that are eligible for voting). Note that all physicians’ votes are confidential.
Step 1: Sign Up & Update Your Doximity Profile
Register or log in to Doximity and ensure your profile contains up-to-date licenses, boards, and certifications.
Step 2: Confirm Eligibility
Starting mid-February voting is open to board-certified physicians in eligible,ranked specialties.
Step 3: Submit Your Vote
Eligible physicians can cast their votes using a personalized survey link from Doximity or by logging in to Doximity and accessing the U.S. News survey.
