Allow proxy access to your healthcare record through My Health Online.
You can allow online access to your health record if:
- The person you're allowing access is age 18 or over.
- The adult you're inviting is a family member or has a legal right to manage your care.
- If you want to provide access to your account to someone who isn't a Sutter patient, fill out and sign the adult proxy authorization form.
Teens have their own My Health Online accounts. Parents or guardians can still request proxy access, but what you can see is limited under California privacy laws.
When a child turns 12, their account transitions to teen proxy settings.
To request proxy access:
- The teen must have their own My Health Online account
- You’re legally allowed to access the teen’s health information and make medical decisions
- You and the teen live at the same address (or provide additional documentation if you don’t)
With proxy access in My Health Online, you can view and manage health information for a child age 11 and younger.
