Rita O Kwan-Feinberg, M.D., MPH, FACS

Rita Kwan-Feinberg, MD, MPH, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon and breast surgical oncologist affiliated with Sutter East Bay Medical Group and Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. Her clinical and academic work focuses on breast cancer care, surgical oncology, and quality improvement in perioperative outcomes.
Dr. Kwan-Feinberg earned her MD from Washington University in St. Louis and an MPH in Health Policy and Management from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed her surgical training at UCSF–East Bay, where she served as Chief Resident.
She has contributed to international collaborative research, including COVIDSurg studies published in leading journals such as The Lancet Oncology. Her scholarly work spans surgical outcomes, trauma research, and perioperative care.
She is actively involved in teaching, mentorship, and multidisciplinary program development.
