Surgery is both a science and an art. My philosophy of care is rooted in providing evidence‑based surgical treatment with compassion, personalization, and respect for each patient’s individual journey. I am uniquely trained as both a breast cancer surgeon and a robotic surgeon, allowing me to offer advanced surgical options tailored to each patient’s goals and values. Drawing on extensive experience in breast cancer surgery as well as elective abdominal robotic surgery, I became the first surgeon in the United States at a community hospital to perform and offer robotic single‑port nipple‑sparing mastectomy—the most advanced form of breast surgery available today. This innovative approach is designed to minimize visible scarring, preserve nipple sensation whenever possible, support faster recovery, and reduce complication rates.

I value the meaningful relationships I build with my patients and consider it an honor to walk alongside them—from diagnosis, through comprehensive treatment, and ultimately into survivorship. I also care for women at increased risk for breast cancer, offering thoughtful evaluation, enhanced surveillance, and risk‑reducing surgical options when appropriate. I am passionate about integrative medicine and believe in a whole‑person approach to long‑term health and healing.

I provide my surgical care at Sutter Health Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, a nationally accredited program recognized by both the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and the Commission on Cancer (CoC). These accreditations reflect a deep commitment to the highest standards of quality, safety, and multidisciplinary breast care for my patients.

I am grateful for the challenges and rewards of my work as a surgeon. Outside of work, I cherish time with my husband and our two sons. We enjoy cooking together, traveling the world, and raising our urban chickens. I especially love hockey and ballet.
