If you're facing surgery, you want to work with a team of caring surgeons and staff who understand your concerns and will make you as comfortable as possible throughout your procedure and recovery. We are committed to bringing the best and brightest physicians and the latest advances in medicine to our community. Our surgical team consists of specially trained surgical nurses and support staff, working alongside the skilled surgeons and anesthesiologists who practice at Sutter Tracy. A number of our physicians perform state-of-the-art surgical techniques, giving our patients access to the latest medical breakthroughs close to home. Several of the advanced procedures available at Sutter Tracy are unavailable or performed by only a handful of experts in the Tri-Central Valley area.
After your surgery, our nursing staff, physical therapists and other rehabilitation specialists provide comprehensive support services to help you get Back to Life (PDF) as quickly as possible.
Outpatient Surgery
Our 10,000 square-foot Outpatient Surgical Center includes 12 outpatient rooms, a two-room gastrointestinal (GI) suite and a dedicated pediatric patient room. Spacious private recovery areas reduce noise and give patients greater privacy. Highly skilled physicians perform orthopedic, gynecological, gastrointestinal and other minimally invasive surgeries in our four operating rooms on a "short-stay" basis, with most patients able to return to the comfort of their own home the same day. A large, comfortable waiting area includes a separate section for children, complete with children’s movies, toys and games.
Extended Network
As part of the Sutter Health network, we can offer the most advanced specialty surgery available in Northern California. In 2015, kidney transplant surgeons performed the first six-way kidney transplant swap in California. A neurosurgeon in the Sutter Health network helped develop the technique for a new minimally invasive surgery for neck pain, and an ear, nose and throat specialist in the network helped fine-tune a less- invasive procedure to treat surfer's ear. Our nurse navigators help many people through treatment and recovery after surgery for key issues, such as cancer, joint replacement and weight loss surgery.
Our hospitals and 37 ambulatory surgery centers have earned some of the most coveted safety and patient satisfaction awards in the nation:
- Consumer Reports’ 10 Best in Safety in California.
- Leapfrog Group’s A grade for patient safety.
- Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
- Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence in patient satisfaction.
