Become a Leader in Shoulder and Upper Extremity Surgery

As a fellow, you’ll receive advanced shoulder and elbow surgery training as you diagnose and treat complex upper extremity conditions in a highly specialized setting, where tertiary reconstructions and revision surgeries are the cornerstone of care. Work directly with expert physicians to diagnose, treat and manage over 450 cases, including shoulder arthroplasties, arthroscopy, fracture care, tendon reconstructions and elbow operations.

Training occurs in state-of-the-art facilities within California Pacific Medical Center’s Mission Bernal campus, Van Ness campus and the Presidio Surgery Center. You’ll be in the OR four days a week, with an additional day dedicated to clinic work and research. With this flexible schedule, you can tailor your experience to fit your professional goals.

Research Opportunities

Work on several ongoing projects and submit at least one research paper to a peer-reviewed journal. Basic science research is supported by grant funding, industry partners and university collaborations.
