Program Curriculum
Family Medicine residents will rotate through a wide range of general and subspecialty-based experiences, primarily based at Memorial Medical Center. Residents receive clinical training through bedside teaching, small group discussions and didactic conferences.
PGY1
- Inpatient Medicine Service: 2 months
- Night Float: 1 month
- Family Medicine Practice: 1 month
- Pediatric EM: 1 month
- Maternal Infant Care: 2 months
- Behavioral Medicine/Social Determinants of Health: 1 month
- General Surgery: 1 month
- Musculoskeletal: 1 month
- Ambulatory Pediatrics: 1 month
- Community Family Medicine: 2 week
- Interventional Radiology: 2 weeks
- Elective: 1 month
PGY2
- Inpatient Medicine Service: 1 month
- ICU: 1 month
- Night Float: 1 month
- Family Medicine Practice: 1 month
- Pediatric EM: 1 month
- Pediatric Inpatient Service: 1 month
- Maternal Infant Care: 1 month
- Addiction/HIV: 1 month
- Geriatrics: 1 month
- Gynecology: 1 month
- Adult EM: 1 month
- Elective: 2 months
PGY3
- Inpatient Medicine Service: 1 month
- Family Medicine Practice: 1 month
- Pediatrics/Pediatric EM: 1 month
- Ambulatory Pediatrics: 1 month
- Musculoskeletal: 1 month
- Maternal Infant Care: 1 month
- Specialty (Cardiology/Renal): 1 month
- Specialty (Rheumatology/Dermatology): 1 month
- Specialty (Infectious Disease/GI): 1 month
- Elective: 3 months
