A Message From Our Program Director 

Dear Residency Candidate,

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the Neurology Residency Program at Sutter Roseville Medical Center! It is my privilege to serve as Program Director of this exciting new program.

Our faculty are dedicated to cultivating the next generation of neurology innovators, physicians who lead with clinical excellence, curiosity, and compassion.

Residents train across two dynamic clinical sites. Sutter Roseville Medical Center serves as the primary training site, and Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento serves as the secondary site. Residents gain exposure to a diverse patient population and a wide range of neurological conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Sutter Roseville is a Joint Commission-certified thrombectomy-capable stroke center and ranks among the busiest emergency departments and stroke programs in the Sutter Health system.

Our roots as a community hospital are a source of pride. They ground our training in a deep commitment to the patients and communities we serve and ensure that our residents develop not only clinical expertise but a genuine connection to the people they care for.

Building on this tradition, our ACGME-accredited program rests on a simple belief: outstanding clinical training and intentional leadership development are not separate pursuits; they are deeply interconnected. Our residents build a strong foundation in adult neurology and its subspecialties while developing the skills, confidence, and mindset to become agents of change in healthcare.
