About the Residency Program
Located in Northern California, Sutter Roseville Medical Center is a community hospital focused on the future and patient-centered care. The Sutter Roseville Medical Center Residency Program is dedicated to promoting a learning environment that prepares future physicians to provide high quality medical care.
Repeatedly recognized as one of the top hospitals in California, Sutter Roseville’s 382-bed medical center serves 10 counties in the greater Sacramento area and offers a full range of healthcare services. It’s home to a Level II trauma center, a Level III NICU, the Sutter Rehabilitation Institute, and a Joint Commission-recognized Primary Stroke Center. In 2020, a carefully designed, patient-focused 98,000 square-foot expansion opened to meet the growing needs of Roseville and nearby communities.
Sutter Roseville Medical Center is part of the award-winning Sutter Health integrated system of care. Nearly three million patients benefit from connected care at affiliated facilities across the Bay Area and Sacramento Valley. Sutter’s decades-long investment in graduate-level medical education and established institutional accreditation through the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) provide a solid foundation for new residency programs at Sutter Roseville. Existing residency programs within the health system include family medicine in Sacramento, Davis, Amador and Santa Rosa, as well as internal medicine, ophthalmology and psychiatry at CPMC.
The leadership, providers and staff at Sutter Health are committed to fostering a positive, supportive environment for training tomorrow’s successful physicians. Sutter Roseville Medical Center and Sutter Health help advance and encourage a culturally diverse and inclusive environment with a focus on recruitment, selection and retention of a diverse cohort, who are all empowered to reach their full potential.
