Congratulations on your growing family! We’re excited to support you as you prepare to welcome your new baby. At Sutter Roseville Medical Center Birth Center, you’ll find warm, private rooms designed to help you feel comfortable throughout labor and delivery.
You’ll be cared for by a dedicated maternity team that includes nurses, obstetricians, pediatricians, neonatologists, lactation consultants and respiratory therapists. We’re also home to a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, offering 24-hour care for babies who need extra support.

Visitor Hours and Information
Visiting hours are from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm every day. With staff permission, immediate family members may visit 24/7.
Parking
There is special labor and delivery parking lot that gives mothers in labor direct access to the birth center side entrance. The entrance is on the left side of the building down the path located near the parking lot. Parking in this lot is on a temporary basis. Once the mother is admitted, the driver will need to re-park their vehicle in the main parking lot.
Ample visitor parking is available directly in front of the hospital and in a multi-level parking garage. Parking for Emergency Department visitors is located in the lot adjacent to the Emergency Department. Call 916-781-4050 to arrange for RV or camper parking.

Come in when contractions are 5 minutes apart, lasting 1 minute each, for 1 hour.

- Decide whether you’re in active labor
If you’re ready to deliver, you’ll move to a birth room. If not, we’ll give guidance on next steps.
Yes. Sutter Roseville is home to a Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for babies who need a little extra medical care after birth. Your baby can receive monitoring, breathing support or specialized treatment without transfer to another hospital whenever appropriate.
We’ll review your birth plan when you arrive and support your preferences when safe.
If medical needs change, we’ll explain why and decide next steps with you. You can also create your preferences at the hospital if you don’t have a written plan. For help creating your plan, you can use American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologist’s sample birth plan template.
We keep you informed, ask permission before procedures and include you in decisions.
