Sunny Panh, M.D.

Dr. Sunny Panh believes good psychiatric care starts with understanding the whole person, including their story, culture, family, and the experiences that have shaped them. He takes a collaborative, trauma-informed approach and works with each patient to develop a treatment plan that reflects their individual goals, values, and needs. Dr. Panh values clear and honest communication and wants patients to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care.

Dr. Panh provides comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care for adults, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy. He treats a broad range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders. He has a particular interest in cultural psychiatry and in providing care that respects each patient's background. He enjoys working with patients from diverse cultural, immigrant, and refugee communities. Dr. Panh speaks conversational Khmer and welcomes the opportunity to care for Cambodian patients and families.

Dr. Panh is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and helped co-found Empowering Marginalized Asian Communities during its early development. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Stockton and Central Valley community and to partner with patients, families, and other clinicians in supporting recovery and long-term wellness.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Panh enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, gaming, watching anime, and following sports.
