About Me

Philosophy of Care

Leann’s philosophy of care centers on supporting the whole patient with warmth, respect, and clinical expertise, recognizing that mental health is foundational to overall health and well‑being. She strives to create a safe and welcoming environment where children and adolescents ages 4–17 feel understood and empowered to grow, while partnering closely with families to ensure care is collaborative and meaningful. Leann uses evidence‑based therapeutic approaches, including DSM‑5–informed assessment and diagnosis, to tailor treatment to each child’s unique strengths and challenges. She believes that strong therapeutic relationships, clear communication, and coordinated care with families are essential to helping youth build resilience, develop coping skills, and thrive socially and emotionally. She is deeply committed to supporting children and families as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward lasting, positive outcomes.

Leann’s professional interests focus on providing individual outpatient therapy to children and adolescents ages 4–17 in a clinical setting. She has experience supporting youth with anxiety, depression, trauma‑related concerns, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and adjustment stressors. Her work emphasizes evidence‑based therapeutic approaches and DSM‑5–informed assessment and diagnosis, with a strong focus on early intervention, crisis assessment, and skill‑building. She is particularly passionate about helping children develop coping strategies, emotional insight, and resilience that support long‑term mental health and success across home, school, and social environments.

Community Activities

She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and remains committed to ethical practice, continued professional growth, and staying informed on best practices in mental health care for children and adolescents.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Leann values balance and connection. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and engaging in activities that support overall well‑being. She appreciates mindfulness practices, personal growth, and opportunities to recharge—whether listening to music, exploring new places, or enjoying time in her community.
