Naquiela T. Buckner-Smith, LMFT

Naquiela Buckner-Smith, MFT, PCC, places at the heart of her practice a firm belief in the dignity, autonomy, and inherent worth of every individual. Rooted in the principles of a person-centered therapy approach, her care prioritizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity in every therapeutic relationship. She views each patient not as a diagnosis or a collection of symptoms, but as a whole person with unique experiences, strengths, and the capacity for growth and healing. She believes that meaningful change arises within a safe and nonjudgmental environment—one where patients feel seen, heard, and genuinely understood. Her role is to walk beside each patient on their journey, offering support, reflection, and guidance while respecting their right to self-determination and honoring their lived experience.

She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT) and Empowered Women of Excellence (EWOE)

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys singing, dancing, exercising, reading, and spending time with her family.

Her professional interests include trauma-informed care, child and adolescent psychotherapy, and life coaching.
