Ryan McConnell, MD, is a physician in the Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group who investigates inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis).
Dr. McConnell is Board Certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.He participates in clinical trials of new treatments for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
He is also interested in studies focusing on improving the quality of inflammatory bowel disease care.Dr. McConnell has authored numerous publications on ulcerative colitis management, inflammatory bowel disease quality measures, and pregnancy in inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. McConnell completed an MD at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by residency training in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.
