Pediatric Cancer and Hematology

Your child’s well-being means everything to us. Using the latest treatments and a team-based approach, we work hard to ensure your child receives compassionate and supportive cancer and hematology care.

Why Choose Sutter?

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, families need more than advanced care — they need advanced caring. Our experienced pediatric teams support your child and family through this stressful time, from diagnosis to recovery. Kids have unique physiological and emotional needs. We offer special programs to make hospital stays and treatment a little easier. Our clinical social workers and pediatric child life specialists help ensure kids still get to be kids.

Our pediatric cancer care teams collaborate with pathology, radiology, radiation oncology, cancer surgery and anesthesiology specialists to create individualized treatment plans for each child. This culture of collaboration extends to our researchers, who work to improve cancer and blood disorder treatments through clinical trials. That’s why Sutter Children’s Center, Sacramento is also part of the Children’s Oncology Group — a clinical trials organization supported by the National Cancer Institute.
