Families are made and forever changed at Sutter Health. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, several Sutter Health affiliates have added new equipment and services to make sure the arrival of every little one goes as smoothly as possible.
Sutter Amador Hospital
Family Birth Center: Donor dollars made several upgrades to the Family Birth Center including new bassinets and a jaundice meter.
Sutter Davis Hospital
Birthing Center furniture and equipment: Because of your donation last year, we were able to upgrade several furniture and equipment needs. This allows us to enhance patient care and treat more patients, more quickly, right here at home.
Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento
Sutter Children’s Center: While most deliveries end perfectly, we make sure our state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Program at the Sutter Children’s Center has the most sophisticated equipment and supplies to improve outcomes and elevate comfort for our patients and their families. Our staff is dedicated to caring for children, and our pediatric specialists care for over 6,000 patients each year. Our unique approach is powered by science and inspired by children.
Donor dollars also funded lactation and parent education support for our new parents needing the extra support in those first few months of their child’s life.
Music therapy at Sophie’s Place: Thanks to donor support, pediatric music therapists can:
- Provide patients and their families a place to get away from the often stressful environment of their room and their unit, and instead offer a musical oasis where kids and their families can experience music in unlimited ways.
- Give opportunities for choice, control, and expression in the hospital where choice is often limited.
- Bring relief and diversion from long hours or sometimes days and weeks of waiting for updates, results, and progress.
Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento and Sutter Roseville Medical Center
Philanthropy supported the pediatrics and obstetrics in a variety of ways, including new equipment like omnibeds and isolettes, as well as new ultrasound equipment in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
