The Sutter Health Oncology PGY2 Pharmacy Residency Program provides residents with the opportunity to enhance and solidify their clinical skills by delivering specialized oncology patient care across the continuum of care. Our program features multi-site rotations divided between the Bay Area (San Francisco, Berkeley, Palo Alto) and the Valley Area (Sacramento, Roseville) in Northern California. These multi-site rotations allow residents to explore diverse practice environments, experience different practices across multiple sites, and enhance their professional networking.
Residents will complete nine required core rotations to build a strong foundation in the clinical, operational, and management aspects of oncology in both acute and ambulatory settings. Additionally, they can pursue their specific interests through 4 elective rotations. Longitudinal rotations in oncology research, project development, teaching, and operations will equip residents with the skills needed to become well-rounded oncology pharmacy practitioners.
