Diana Aung, M.D., FACOG

I am often asked why I chose to enter the field of obstetrics and gynecology. The hours are long, the days and nights are busy, the calls are unpredictable. I simply tell patients that this what I love to do. I have always had an interest in women's health. So when it came time for me to choose an area of medicine to explore, it was natural for me to gravitate towards obstetrics/gynecology. Much like people say that they "know" when they have met their soulmate, I knew that OB/GYN was "the one" when I first went through my OB/GYN rotation in medical school. Everything felt natural and "comfortable." And to this day, I still enjoy every aspect of being an OB/GYN. I feel blessed to be a part of the birth of families. I relish the opportunity to treat gynecologic issues. I enjoy the long-term relationships that I have developed with many of my patients from their first pap smear to their first child to their entry into menopause. And as a physician, I try to treat my patients as I or any family member would want to be treated -- with honesty, respect and integrity. I welcome the opportunity to work with you.

Dr. Aung is married and enjoys spending time with her three children. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, skiing, and biking.
