CPMC Foundation Invest in New Hospitals: Van Ness Campus

CPMC has achieved an important moment in its history and in the health of our community — the opening of the stunning new Van Ness Campus on March 2, 2019, offering the high-level, sophisticated medical care CPMC is known for. Among its many features are:

• Expanded emergency department — The Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Emergency Department exceeds 16,500 square feet in size and includes 36 private treatment rooms with separate areas for children and adults, located adjacent to the 16-room imaging department.
• Thirteen operating rooms — State-of-the-art surgery rooms are capable of handling everything from organ transplants to routine procedures.
• A major labor-and-delivery department — We're prepared for the most complex cases and ready to care for our most vulnerable tiny patients at the Deikel Family Newborn Intensive Care Unit – a Level III NICU.

With two new hospitals now open at Van Ness Campus and Mission Bernal Campus opened in August 2018, Sutter Health’s CPMC has reshaped the healthcare landscape of San Francisco. Smart planning by Sutter Health and CPMC has paid for both of our new hospitals, so 100% of philanthropic investments go directly to research and patient programs.
