The Sutter CPMC Center for Women’s Health Care is now open! The new center opened on January 25, 2021, marking a new milestone in CPMC’s 150-year tradition of specialized care for women.

Housed at CPMC’s Pacific Heights Outpatient Campus, the new center integrates our Breast Health Center, Women’s Health Resource Center, and Pelvic Health Program in a beautiful and safe new space outfitted with state-of-the-art screening and diagnostic technology. The Center will provide expanded services to maintain wellness, heal, and learn, and will continue to grow as a hub offering more comprehensive services for women. • Breast Health Center (BHC) is San Francisco’s leader in providing imaging, exams and procedures — more than 45,000 at CPMC each year. The Sutter CPMC Center for Women’s Health Care will house seven state-of-the-art breast tomosynthesis machines for 3D mammography.
• Within the BHC, the Notkin Family Breast Cancer Recovery Program has served more than 20,000 women since 2004, providing free nurse navigation services, psychosocial support and more. A nurse navigator schedules one-on-one consultations to explain benign and malignant results, follow-up protocols and treatment options.
• Women’s Health Resource Center (WHRC) handles nearly 15,000 patient interactions a year, providing high-touch care for women during gynecological cancer treatment and rehabilitation. A nurse practitioner provides education and support while visiting women with ovarian and reproductive cancers at their bedsides, infusion centers or hospices. Services include psychosocial counseling, massage, nutrition advice, acupuncture, yoga, and a wig boutique to manage hair loss due to chemotherapy.
• CPMC’s Pelvic Health Clinic is a leader in treating and supporting women with urinary incontinence using biofeedback and education. CPMC is an accredited Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecology by the Surgical Review Corporation.
