About the Residency Program
Sutter Roseville Medical Center offers many comprehensive programs and services designed to serve our growing community. We offer acute care for all ages and our facility is a Level II American College of Surgeons verified Trauma Center serving a seven-county region.
In 2020, Sutter Roseville Medical Center grew its services with a new 94,800-square-foot expansion. In it, you'll find a larger emergency department, new intensive care unit, more cardiac care and a lush healing garden.
Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program
The Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Sutter Roseville Medical Center provides residents with exposure to a large diverse patient population drawing from urban, suburban and rural settings throughout the Sacramento Valley region. From cancer care, acute stroke services, trauma, surgical and medical subspecialties to routine imaging needs, trainees are exposed to all facets diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology needs.
Training emphasizes compassionate care during procedures and all patient interactions. High emphasis is placed on providing referring clinicians with thoughtful and comprehensive image interpretation, with timely and appropriate communication. Training emphasizes a high-quality learning experience over a high-volume, high-pressure environment. Wellness for our trainees is paramount. Residents are encouraged to become lifelong learners and to remain intellectually curious, with ample opportunities for scholarly activities.
