Didactic Activities
The educational curriculum was developed to provide residents with a comprehensive foundation in radiology. The 18-month program covers each of the American Board of Radiology Core domains, including:
- Breast imaging
- Cardiovascular imaging
- Gastrointestinal radiology
- Genitourinary radiology
- Interventional radiology
- Musculoskeletal radiology
- Neuroradiology
- Noninterpretive skills
- Nuclear radiology
- Pediatric radiology
- Thoracic radiology
Resident conferences are a mix of didactic lectures and interactive case conferences. Residents will also participate in monthly Journal Club. The Sutter GME Office of Academic Support runs a yearly Research and Scholarly Topics Seminar Series for all residents. Several clinical rotations will include exposure to multidisciplinary conferences, such as various tumor boards.
Physics training is provided by Telerad Physics Teaching, which consists of a comprehensive interactive annual lecture series as well as intensive four-day review sessions for residents leading up to the ABR Core exam.
