Sutter Roseville Medical Center
Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency
Our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program brings graduate-level medical education to the greater Sacramento area. Obstetrics and Gynecology residents will receive rigorous instruction from some of the best and brightest physicians in the Sutter Health System.

A new residency program dedicated to providing state-of-the -art educational opportunities for the next generation of OB/GYN providers.
A women’s healthcare needs, vary throughout her life from the onset of menstruation and puberty, through easy access to birth control, childbirth (if desired), and eventually the menopause and beyond. Non reproductive healthcare problems (e.g. cardiac disease, diabetes, obesity) are often impacted by issues specific to women and understanding these connections and issues is critical if we are going to provide the best healthcare possible. Early intervention in cases where the woman had preeclampsia, could prevent the increased risk of cardiac disease found years later in these women. In the end, the OB/GYN is still the best person to understand these issues and connections and thus provide optimum care for these patients.
