Sutter Health is committed to providing its residents and fellows with a total compensation package that is competitive with what is offered in the external market. Sutter Health MDs and DOs enrolled in ACGME-accredited training programs receive a robust health and benefits package in addition to their annual salaries.

Additional GME Benefits
- One-time Relocation stipend: $2,000 maximum
- Housing Stipend (Valley Area Only): $8,000 annually
- Housing Stipend (Bay Area Only): $12,000 annually
- Step 3 Exam Reimbursement, PLT, CA Medical License, DEA (if required by program)
- Education Fund: $2,500
- $2000 in the final year of training toward a Board Review course and/or exam fee reimbursement.
- Meals: $35/day if not provided
- Parking: $2,400 a year if not provided
- Chief Resident Stipend: $2,800 annually
