Admission Requirements

Our admissions guidelines help set you up for success. All prerequisites must be met prior to the start of the fellowship year. You must satisfy these requirements:

  • Complete a doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.) in clinical, counseling or educational psychology from an APA- or CPA-member program. Only degrees and degree programs eligible for ultimate licensure will be accepted.
  • Complete an APPIC- or APA-member pre-doctoral internship.
  • Obtain an F-1 student visa, if you’re an international applicant.

Prior to starting, fellows are also required to complete and pass a comprehensive pre-employment screening, including a medical examination, drug testing, review of immunization records and a TB test. Fellows must also consent to a background check.
