Program Admissions

Applicants must complete a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program as well as an APA-accredited doctoral internship. All prerequisites must be met prior to the start of the fellowship year. If you have not defended your dissertation, please include a letter from your dissertation chair or faculty advisor that confirms anticipated completion prior to the start of fellowship. If your dissertation has been defended, please include the date of defense in your CV or cover letter.

Fellows can accrue up to eight hours of PTO per pay period (maximum of 208 hours per year), which includes time off for vacations, sick days, holidays.

Holidays observed: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (and the Friday after) and Christmas Day.

An additional 40 hours per year is provided for educational leave, including licensing exams, interviews for employment opportunities, conferences, and other approved educational activities.  Fellows are also eligible to take up to three days of paid bereavement leave per year and receive paid time off for Jury Duty.  Extended unpaid leave for personal reasons (e.g., medical conditions and/or family needs) can be arranged.

Other benefits available include dental and vision plans, a flexible spending account, an employee assistance program, and employee discounts at a variety of businesses, including childcare, theme parks, hotels, car rentals, area attractions and businesses.
