Sister to Sister Breast Health Program

The Sister to Sister Breast Health Program ensures that a woman’s breast health concerns will be not be compromised because of her lack of access to care or inability to pay. This program is open to all women, regardless of ethnic background.

Services

Once enrolled in our program, you can access these services at no charge:

  • First-time mammogram screening
  • Annual mammogram screening
  • Breast self-examination instructions

Who Qualifies for the Program?

  • Women age 40 and older.
  • Women in at-risk populations, Black, Latina, Asian/Pacific Islander, homeless, lesbian or transgender.
  • Women younger than 40 who have a family history of breast cancer and have breast symptoms.
  • Women (regardless of age) who have a suspicious finding or noticeable change in breast size, not due to weight gain or loss.
  • Women who are uninsured, underinsured or undocumented, and are at or below 400% Federal Poverty Level.
  • Women who qualify for CPMC’s financial assistance programs.

Why We Care

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among all women and is the second most common cause of cancer death among Black women.

California Pacific Medical Center is committed to increasing awareness, saving lives and reducing disparity for all women who live in the Bay Area.

Our women's services are conveniently located together in the Center for Women's Health Care at 2333 Buchanan Street in San Francisco.
