California Pacific’s Women and Children’s Centers provide compassionate, family-centered support during every stage of your pregnancy, delivery and the postpartum period. Whether it’s genetic screening, high-risk obstetric services, newborn intensive care or breastfeeding education, we offer all the resources your growing family needs.
CPMC is also voted one of the Best Birth Centers in the Bay Area (Bay Area Parent Magazine, 2018). Our Van Ness Campus offers general care, high-risk pregnancy care and a top-rated NICU; the Mission Bernal Campus specializes in all-hours, every day midwifery care for women with low-risk pregnancy. Learning about pregnancy, birth and parenthood will help you become relaxed and comfortable with all the changes in your body and your life. We are here to help. CPMC’s Women and Children’s Center provides all the information you’ll need, from midwife consultations and hospital tours to pregnancy checklists and childbirth preparation classes.
In addition, CPMC’s Prenatal Diagnosis Center offers the most advanced technology and tests available for identifying potential genetic disorders and birth defects. Should you need or choose screening, our team of OB/Gyns, certified nurse-midwives and high-risk doctors, called maternal-fetal medicine specialists, are at your side. Our program is fully accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the California Genetics Disease Branch.
As you prepare for your baby’s birth, you want to be assured of top-notch medical care, a comfortable delivery setting and the caring support of people you trust.
We believe our Women and Children’s Centers set the standard for what a childbirth program needs to be. We offer compassionate, quality obstetrical and newborn services and a caring environment in which to enjoy one of life’s most memorable moments. By providing the latest medical advancements delivered by an experienced team, we give you peace of mind at every stage.
In addition to your doctor or midwife, our nursing staff works with you throughout the labor process. Our nurses are specially trained—with an average of 15 years of service in caring for new mothers and babies.
When things don’t go as planned, our Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers specialized medical and nursing care, delivered 24 hours a day by board-certified neonatalogists and an experienced nursing staff. This team, combined with the NICU’s state-of-the-art technology, ensures that your infant receives the finest care possible.
The State of California has designated our Women and Children’s Centers as Level III perinatal and neonatal centers, meaning that we have the highest level of equipment and professionals on staff.
