Each visit begins with individual well-child health assessments, immunizations, and developmental screenings that follow nationally recognized guidelines. You are actively involved in your child’s assessment at every visit: tracking growth, development, and immunizations. The provider and support staff lead the group in discussion and interactive activities on topics including attachment, safe sleep, breastfeeding, nutrition, early literacy, development, and safety. An emphasis on family, self-care, wellness and women’s health is woven throughout. Parents are more informed, confident, and empowered to make healthier choices for themselves, their babies, and their families. Centering Parenting fosters a safe and supportive environment to share all your questions and concerns.
Providers and Facilitators
Trained and certified providers from PAMF’s Pediatrics team, including doctors and nurse practitioners, will be your facilitators and care providers during the Centering sessions. They will be assisted by trained and certified registered nurses and/or medical assistants and support staff.
