Dr. Halat enjoys spending time with her husband, son and dog. She also enjoys running, cycling, skiing and reading.
Philosophy of Care
I am very conscientious about listening carefully to my patients and having them leave each appointment feeling satisfied that I have addressed their questions. I strive to continually improve my knowledge and surgical skills through courses and reading to provide the best care possible for my patients.
I treat and respect each patient as an individual. I believe treating patients is a privilege and not a job.
My husband, son and I recently located to Santa Cruz from Truckee, California and are looking forward to winters out of the snow.
I came to medicine after working as an entomologist. Although I enjoyed my work in entomology, I realized that I wanted to help people. After personally seeing a podiatrist because of numerous foot issues, I felt it would be a good fit for me.
