Auxiliary
The St. Luke's Auxiliary was founded in 1952 to support St. Luke’s Hospital (renamed Mission Bernal in August 2018) with fundraising and volunteerism in the spirit of fellowship and celebration. One of the auxiliary’s signature programs is "Find a Need and Fill It," where auxiliary members volunteer to purchase needed materials such as clothing for homeless patients, reading materials for the chapel, or small amounts of equipment on an as-needed basis.

Benefits of Volunteering
"There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up." — John Andrew Holmes
Volunteering is a wonderful gift that can be given to patients and the community. Volunteers meet people, make new friends, use their skills, and acquire new ones. They feel a sense of accomplishment and perhaps the most important benefit is satisfaction of knowing they are contributing to their community and making a difference.
