Joy E. Lin, M.D.

Dr. Lin grew up in Cupertino, California. She was awarded her MD from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her neurology residency at Stanford University, followed by a neuromuscular fellowship at the Stanford Neuroscience Health Center. Among her honors, Dr. Lin has earned recognition from the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, National Chinese-American Physicians Society, and the American Psychiatric Association. Throughout her career, she has maintained a strong commitment to community service and has provided volunteer medical services in Haiti, Mexico, and San Francisco's Chinatown. 

Dr. Lin specializes in the management of neurological diseases and has a particular interest in neuromuscular disorders, including neuropathy (nerve disease), myopathy (muscle disease), radiculopathy (nerve root disease), myasthenia gravis, and ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). She has expertise in neurophysiologic testing (EMG/NCS) and botulinum toxin injections for the evaluation and treatment of peripheral nervous system disorders.

Dr. Lin's mission is to connect patients with the best care that science has to offer. She is passionate about reducing the impact of psychological stress on patient health and has authored original research on this topic.
