Contract Status

Thank you for choosing Sutter Health for your care. Sutter Health is pleased to share that we have a new agreement with Aetna for HMO, EPO and PPO products effective July 1, 2025, and integrating Sansum Clinic into the systemwide agreement as of Jan. 1, 2026.

Please be assured that you can continue to receive in-network care from Sutter’s trusted team of doctors, nurses and clinicians — all part of a connected network dedicated to delivering high-quality, comprehensive care.

For HMO Members

You may have recently received a letter from Aetna about being reassigned to a new doctor if an agreement was not reached. We understand that Aetna intends to send you another letter retracting this reassignment and confirming you will continue to be assigned to your Sutter doctor.

As a precaution, we recommend you confirm your primary care physician assignment with Sutter by contacting Aetna’s customer service at the number on your insurance ID card.
